BeachesYou can have your pick of the beaches at Turtle Bay, which has nearly five miles of beachfront, including Kawela Bay, Kuilima Cove, and Turtle Bay. HALE KAI is just steps away from a quiet white-sand beach. In the winter, watch the big waves roll in. From December through April, keep binoculars handy to better spot the humpback whales that pass through during their annual migration to their breeding grounds. There are 12 miles of oceanfront hiking trails for walking or horseback riding. Surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, playing volleyball, and lounging are just a few of the activities available. Sodas and snacks are available at Ola’s. Want more beach? The world-famous surfing spots of Sunset Beach, Ehukai Beach, the Banzai Pipeline, and Wiamea Bay are a few minutes’ drive away. |
What a wonderful spot of paradise! This was our first trip to Hawaii and we feel lucky to have stumbled on the best way to experience it. We loved the spaciousness and layout of HALE KAI. The views from the villa are incredible. We enjoyed the gorgeous beach, which was perfect for sunbathing and watching the surfers. And there’s nothing better than a walk around the golf course in the morning to work up an appetite for breakfast in the villa. Bill and Catherine Lacy |
